SMI to SRT Converter is a Windows utility for turning subtitle files into SRT subtitle files on your PC.
how it works
This smi to srt converter uses a Custom (SAMI) library to read your files and create SRT subtitle files locally on Windows. Nothing is sent to a server.
paste from clipboard
Press Ctrl+V to drop a copied file straight into the queue. For example, copy an .smi file in File Explorer, then paste it into the app to start converting.
batch conversion
Convert smi to srt in one run, including whole folders at once. Sub-folders are kept in the output, so the folder structure stays the same.
auto-convert watcher
Use the Auto-convert page to set a watched folder and an output folder. Keep the app in the Windows system tray, drop new files into the watched folder, and the converted subtitle files appear in the output folder.

A native shell extension adds Convert to SRT to the right-click menu for .smi files in File Explorer. The app opens with your selection already loaded.
