PDF to MD Converter helps you convert PDF documents to MD documents on Windows, with local processing and no upload.

how it works

PDF.js powers the conversion, so your documents are handled on your Windows PC. It’s a PDF to markdown tool made for people who want a local, simple workflow.

paste from clipboard

Press Ctrl+V to add a copied PDF document straight into the queue. It’s handy when you already have a document on the clipboard and want to convert it without browsing for a file.

batch conversion

Convert whole folders of documents in one run. The folder structure is kept on the output side, so nested subfolders stay organized.

auto-convert watcher

Set a watched folder and an output folder on the Auto-convert page. Leave the app in the Windows system tray, drop a fresh export into the watched folder, and the converted MD document appears in the output folder.

right-click in explorer

Use Convert to MD from the right-click menu in File Explorer for .pdf documents. The app opens with your selection already loaded, so you can start from Explorer when that is faster.
