MD to DOCX Converter is a Windows app for people who want to convert markdown to docx without leaving their PC.

how it works

The app uses marked + docx to turn your MD documents into DOCX documents on your Windows machine. Nothing is uploaded, and the conversion stays local.

paste from clipboard

Press Ctrl+V to drop a document from the clipboard straight into the queue. Copy a markdown document from another app, paste it here, and start converting right away.

batch conversion

Convert a whole folder of documents in one run. Subfolders are kept in the output, so a folder with 200 documents in 10 subfolders comes out with the same shape.

auto-convert watcher

Use the Auto-convert page to set a watched folder and an output folder. Leave the app in the Windows system tray, drop a fresh markdown document in, and the converted copy appears in the target folder.

right-click in explorer

A native shell extension adds Convert to DOCX to the right-click menu for .md documents in File Explorer. It opens the app with your selection already loaded.
