how it works

The app uses mammoth.js to turn DOCX documents into TXT documents on your Windows PC. Your documents stay on the device while conversion runs.

paste from clipboard

Press Ctrl+V to drop a document from the clipboard straight into the queue. It is a quick way to add a copied DOCX document without browsing for it first.

batch conversion

Convert whole folders in one run, including folders with subfolders. The output keeps the same folder structure, so a set of documents stays organized after conversion.

auto-convert watcher

Open the Auto-convert page, choose a watched folder and an output folder, and let the app keep working in the system tray. Drop a fresh export into the watched folder and the converted copy appears in the output folder.

right-click in explorer

A native File Explorer shell extension adds Convert to TXT to the right-click menu for .docx documents. The app opens with your selection already loaded, so you can start from the document you clicked.
