APE to FLAC Converter is a local Windows utility for turning your files into FLAC audio files with a simple, offline workflow.

how it works

This app uses ffmpeg.wasm to convert files on your Windows PC. Nothing is sent to a server, so the whole process stays on your device.

paste from clipboard

Press Ctrl+V to add a copied file straight into the queue. If you copied an APE file in File Explorer, it lands in the list ready to convert.

batch conversion

Convert whole folders in one run, including folders with many subfolders. The output keeps the same folder structure, so your FLAC audio files stay organised.

auto-convert watcher

Use the Auto-convert page to set a watched folder and an output folder. Leave the app in the Windows system tray, drop a new file into the watched folder, and the converted audio file appears in the output folder.

right-click in explorer

A native shell extension adds Convert to FLAC to the File Explorer right-click menu for .ape files. The app opens with your selection already loaded, so you can start from Explorer.

languages & themes

The interface ships in ten languages. Light and dark themes follow your Windows system theme automatically.
